Governor Badaru approves appointment of Auditor General

Jigawa State Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubukar has approved the appointment of Garba Muhammad Dutse as the new State Auditor General.

This was contained in a statement signed by the State Head of the Civil Service, Alhaji Hussaini Ali Kila.

SOLACEBASE reports that Garba Muhammad Dutse, a professional accountant and a registered member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) before his new appointment, was the Bursar, Sule Lamido University, Kafin Hausa.

‘’The Head of Service explained that the appointment of the  new Auditor General is subject to the  confirmation of the Jigawa State House of Assembly,’’ the statement said.

‘’The statement further explained that the appointment is purely on merit, competency and personal integrity.’’

According to the statement the appointment takes immediate effects.
