Kano State Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has reinstated his Special Adviser on Media Saliu Tanko Yakasai suspended two weeks ago.
Solacebase recalls that Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje suspended Saliu Tanko Yakasai on October 11th over a tweet he posted on social media criticizing the Buhari Administration’s handling of #ENDSARS protests.
The suspension was announced in a statement issued by the Commissioner for Information Mohammed Garba.
Yakasai had tweeted, “I’ve never seen a government with zero empathy like that of President Buhari. So many times, when his people are going through a difficult time and expect some sort of tap on the shoulder to reassure them that he is in charge, but he failed to do so”.
However, in a tweet on Thursday, the governor’s Special Adviser, Saliu Tanko Yakasai appreciated friends and well-wishers who reached out to him on his reinstatement.
