Gov. Ganduje’s multi-million naira residence gutted by fire

The multi-million-naira residence of the outing Kano State Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has been gutted by fire.

SOLACEBASE gathered that the property which the outgoing governor moved into weeks ago on Miagun road, behind Kano Club, Nasarawa GRA was partly destroyed by fire on late Monday night.

Reliable sources told SOLACEBASE that the fire that started from the section where Dr. Ganduje rears cows and other animals was completely destroyed and many of the animals died in the inferno, with other multi million-naira property razed down.

‘’The cause of the fire was not immediately known , but it started during the cause of metal welding in the house as work as still on going to make the place a befitting residence for Kano State outgoing first citizen, ‘’one of the sources said.

‘’You see the renovation became so necessary as Governor Ganduje was not happy with the state of the house keep that led to sacking of about 21 domestic staff at the property.’’

When contacted, Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Abba Anwar told SOLACEBASE, on Thursday that he was out of town hence not in the picture of whatever happened.

Anwar promised to speak to the governor about it and get back to this newspaper immediately.

Speaking to SOLACEBASE correspondent, Kano State Fire Service, Public Relations Officer, Saminu Yusuf, who confirmed the fire outbreak, said the fire was already under control by the time firefighters got to the residence.
