Gov Yusuf accuses Ganduje of smuggling deposed emir, Bayero into Kano with FG support

Kano State Government has accused All Progressive Congress (APC) National Chairman and former governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of using the office of the National Security Adviser, to create chaos in the state by smuggling the former Emir, Aminu Ado Bayero into the state.

The State Deputy Governor, Aminu Abdusalam Gwarzo made the allegation on Saturday morning at the  Emir’s palace while speaking with journalists.

SolaceBase reports that Gwarzo alleged that Abdullahi Ganduje with the support of the office of the National Security Adviser, brought in the dethroned Emir in a chartered flight on Saturday.

‘’It is unfortunate that the APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje is using the National Security Adviser to create tension in the state by smuggling into the state, the former emir, Aminu Ado Bayero,’’ the deputy governor alleged.

He said the appointment and dethronement of Emir or any traditional title is solely the prerogative of the state government, hence he expressed surprise that the federal government will be interfering in whatever happened in that direction.

‘’I am here together with the governor and other top government functionaries to ensure that the new emir, Muhammadu Sanusi II start exercising is power and authority immediately after he was given his appointment letter yesterday, Friday.’’

The deputy governor appealed to Kano residents to go about their legal and normal businesses without fear or intimidation.
