Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has directed the immediate employment of over 4,000 teachers who recently completed the Better Education Service Delivery for All (BESDA) programme.
This was disclosed in a statement issued on Monday by the Governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.
Governor Yusuf made the announcement during the flag-off ceremony for the distribution of instructional materials to schools in Kano.

He stated that all 4,000 staff will undergo an aptitude test, and those who pass will be offered permanent employment in the state civil service.

“This is part of our effort to reward dedication and ensure quality education delivery. Only those who are qualified and capable will be absorbed into the system,” the governor stated.
The Governor therefore directed for screening of all candidates for immediate recruitment into the state civil service under the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB).
