Gov. Yusuf constitutes members of Civil Service, Sharia, Zakkat Commissions

Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has approved the appointment of members to the Civil Service Commission, Sharia Commission, and Zakkat and Hubsi Commission.

In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the governor invoked his constitutional powers to finalize the appointments in alignment with established procedures.

The appointments are as follows: Civil Service Commission, Engr. Ahmad Ishaq – Chairman, Alh. Abdullahi Mahmoud – Permanent Member I and Ado Ahmed Mohammed – Permanent Member II

SolaceBase reports that the Sharia Commission has Sheikh Abbas Abubakar Daneji – Executive Chairman, Mallam Hadi Gwani Dahiru – Permanent Commissioner I, Sheikh Ali Dan’Abba – Permanent Commissioner II, Mallam Adamu Ibrahim – Member,  Mallam Abubakar Ibrahim Mai Ashafa – Member and Mallam Naziru Saminu Dorayi – Member.

The statement noted that Zakkat and Hubsi Commission has Barr. Habibu Dan Almajiri as Executive Chairman, Sheikh Nafiu Umar Harazumi – Permanent Commissioner I, Dr. Ali Quraish – Permanent Commissioner II, Mallam Abdullahi Sarkin Sharifai – Member, Mallam Adamu Muhammad Andawo – Member, Mallam Yahaya Muhammad Kwana Hudu – Member, Sheikh Hassan Sani Kafinga – Member, Sheikh Arabi Tudun-Nufawa – Member, Mallam Sani Shariff Umar Bichi – Member, to be filled by CSC – Secretary

According to the statement, Governor Yusuf emphasized that the appointments reflect his administration’s dedication to building robust institutions capable of addressing the needs of Kano residents.

He expressed confidence in the qualifications, integrity, and commitment of the appointees to deliver on their mandates effectively.
