A renowned political singer, Muhammad Buhari, popularly known as Kosan Waka, has died after a prolonged illness.
SolaceBase reports that the singer, who was widely known for performing songs in support of Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and the Kwankwasiyya movement, died on Sunday in Kano.
His death came just days after Governor Yusuf visited him in hospital during his illness.

The family confirmed that Kosan Waka will be buried in Katsina after the 4.00 pm prayer on Sunday.
Kosan Waka gained prominence through his political songs, particularly those backing Governor Yusuf and the Kwankwasiyya movement. His performances at political rallies and campaign events made him a familiar figure in Kano’s political landscape.
