Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers in the early hours of Friday abducted Mrs Odumosu, wife of a retired Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG), Hakeem Odumosu.
Mrs Odumosu was abducted at the gate of her residence in the Arepo axis of Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State while returning home from an outing.
It was gathered that the wife of the retired police boss was about to enter her home when four masked men shooting sporadically into the air attacked her, dragged her down from her Lexus Jeep and took her through the swampy areas to an unknown destination.
Spokesperson of the Ogun Command of Nigeria Police Force, Omolola Odutola, who confirmed the incident to journalists in Abeokuta, the state capital, said the command has swiftly reacted by deploying operatives to secure her release.
