I’ll not challenge my removal – Deposed Emir of Gaya

The deposed Emir of Gaya, Alhaji Aliyu Ibrahim Abdulkadir, says he has accepted his removal, saying it was an act of God.

Abdulkadir was one of the first-class kings appointed by the former governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje.

The emirs were on Thursday sacked after governor Abba Kabir Yusuf signed the repeal of the law which balkanised the Kano Emirates.

The governor gave them 48 hours to vacate their palaces and hand over to the Commissioner of Chieftaincy and Local Government Affairs.

The development has been causing chaos in the state with different groups staging protests across the state.
