INEC announces dates, decentralizes collection of PVCs in Kano

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced Monday 12th December, 2022 to Sunday 22nd January 2023 as the dates for the collection of PVCs in the 44 Local Government Areas of the State.

SOLACEBASE reports that the Commission said it will also decentralize PVC collection to the 484 Registration Areas/Wards from Friday 6th to Sunday 22nd January, 2023.

A statement issued by Head of Department, Voter Education and Publicity, INEC, Kano office,  A.A. Maulud, on Tuesday said those that are unable to collect their PVCs at the INEC local government offices of the State can do so at the Registration Areas/ Wards.

‘’It is pertinent to note that after 15th January 2023, the exercise will be reverted to the INEC local government offices of the state until 22nd January, 2023,‘’ the statement said.

‘’I therefore urge all eligible and valid registrants that registered , transferred or revalidated their PVC during the last CVR from January 2021 to June 2022 to come forward and collect their PVCs from 9.00am to 3.00pm daily, including Saturdays and Sundays.‘’

‘’Also, all stakeholders should assist the commission in informing the general public to this development.‘’
