Kano State Government has directed the immediate closure of Bagauda Technical College.
Solacebase reports that the closure of the college was announced by the state Commissioner of Education, Malam Muhammad Sanusi Sa’id Kiru.
A statement issued on Monday by the ministry Public Relations Officer, Aliyu Yusuf said the closure was necessitated following a disturbing security report and the need to protect the lives of the students, teachers and other staff of the college.
Solacebase reports that about 34 boarding schools located outskirts of the metropolis have been closed due to the prevailing security situation around neighbouring states.
The statement, therefore, urged parents to immediately evacuate their children from the College and wait for further directives.
