JAMB 2025 Exam: Kano suspends monthly sanitation exercise

The Kano State Government has announced the suspension of its monthly sanitation exercise for April 2025 to ensure an uninterrupted and smooth conduct of the ongoing Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination.


A statement issued by the Director of Public Enlightenment at the state Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, Ismail Garba Gwammaja, on Thursday, said the decision was reached after consultations

with relevant stakeholders with the aim to remove any potential obstacles that could hinder candidates from accessing their examination centres across the state.
“The suspension is aimed at preventing any potential disruptions to the examination process and ensuring that candidates can sit for their exams without any hindrance, ‘’the Commissioner, Dr. Dahiru M. Hashim, said in the statement.

SolaceBase reports that Dr. Hashim assured the public that the suspension is only for the month of April and that the sanitation exercise will resume fully in May 2025.
He emphasised the government’s continued commitment to a clean and healthy environment, while also supporting important national activities like the JAMB exams.
The Commissioner appealed to residents to understand and support the rationale behind the temporary suspension, urging them to cooperate with sanitation authorities.
“We commend residents for their understanding and cooperation with the present administration,” he stated.
