The leadership of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Jigawa State Council, has embarked on a series of fraternal visits to key broadcast media organisations across the state.

Leading the delegation was the State NUJ Chairman, Comrade Ismaila Ibrahim Dutse, who, alongside members of the executive council, visited several media houses to deepen the Union’s partnership and encourage mutual understanding with media stakeholders.

SolaceBase reports that at Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) Dutse, Comrade Dutse commended the station for its high-quality news coverage and professional programming, which he said contribute significantly to peace and development in the state.

He reaffirmed the NUJ’s commitment to ensuring that the voice of the people of Jigawa is clearly heard and reflected in media narratives.

In response, the General Manager of NTA Dutse, Malam Ibrahim Muhammad, applauded the NUJ’s leadership for its dedication to reviving the glory of journalism in the state and across Nigeria. He assured the Union of NTA’s continuous support and cooperation.

The NUJ delegation also visited Freedom Radio Dutse, where the Station Manager, Alhaji Ali Aminu Falaki, expressed appreciation for the Union’s achievements in promoting ethical journalism within a short period. He described the visit as encouraging and vital for the growth of the profession.

At Jigawa Radio Corporation, the team met with the Managing Director, Alhaji Yusuf Adamu Babura, who pledged that the station would remain a reliable partner of the NUJ in promoting both the interests of journalists and the aspirations of the people of Jigawa State.

Similarly, at Jigawa State Television (JTV), Managing Director Alhaji Abba Tukur warmly welcomed the NUJ officials, describing the visit as a timely and important step toward building a solid foundation of friendship and collaboration between the station and the Union.
