2024 Jnr Pope’s death: AGN lifts suspension on producer
The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has lifted the suspension on Adanma Luke, producer of the movie in which the late actor Junior Pope was supposed to feature.
Pope died on April 10 after he fell into the River Niger in Asaba, Delta state on his way to a movie location.

AGN would later suspend all movies involving riverine locations and boat riding to ensure the safety of actors and prevent similar incidents from occurring.
Emeka Rollas, the president of the AGN, also warned filmmakers not to work with Luke “until further notice”.
But in a statement obtained by TheCable Lifestyle on Saturday, Abubakar Yakubu, AGN national secretary, said the suspension placed on the movie producer has been lifted.

The statement read; “The National President of the Guild, Dr. Ejezie Emeka Rollas, MON, use this opportunity to announce the lifting of the suspension placed on Adanma Luke, producer of the movie ‘Another Side of Life,’ where star actor Junior Pope and four other crew members lost their lives in Anam river.
“The President also lifted the ban on filming in riverine areas but cautioned members to apply all safety standard measures recommended in the AGN Bylaws.”
