JUST IN: Fire destroys demolished shop of popular TikToker, Rahama Saidu in Kano
A fire outbreak has engulfed the shop of popular TikToker, Rahama Saidu, located along UDB Road in Tarauni Local Government Area of Kano State.
SolaceBase reports that the incident occurred just hours after the Kano Urban Planning and Development Authority (KNUPDA) carried out a demolition exercise on part of the shop, citing illegal structural extensions.
Although the cause of the fire was yet to be ascertained, an eyewitness who spoke to journalists at the scene on Thursday night, said the fire was allegedly triggered by a spark from welding activities.

The eyewitness explained that a neighbouring shop owner had hired welding engineers to carry out repair works on his property, which was also affected by the KNUPDA demolition.

“After the demolition, Rahama came and cleared all her belongings from the shop. Unfortunately, this fire broke out not long after.”
It was discovered that apart from Rahama’s shop, a photographer’s shop was also affected in the inferno.
However, police were seen cordoning off the area to prevent looting.
