The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) says Wasiu Ayinde, the popular Fuji musician known as Kwam 1, has been blacklisted for six months for his conduct at the domestic terminal of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
The NCAA’s Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Michael Achimugu, announced during a press briefing on Thursday.
“No individual, no matter how influential, is above the rules that govern civil aviation conduct. We are taking this step to ensure that standards are upheld and airport workers are protected from harassment,” Achimugu stated.
SolaceBase recalls that the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria had on Wednesday launched a probe into the unruly behaviour of the musician during boarding at the Abuja airport, disrupting flight operations.

It was alleged that the artiste approached the aircraft, Flight VK201 from Abuja to Lagos, on Tuesday, carrying a gold flask of unknown content.
Ground staff requested to verify the contents of the flask, but the musician vehemently refused.
He was seen drinking from the flask, and the ground staff suspected that it contained alcohol, a substance prohibited onboard aircraft in Nigeria.
