Kaduna Academy clinches U-13 Bundesliga cup with decisive victory
Kaduna Academy Football Club has emerged champions of the Under-13 Bundesliga Cup after securing a resounding 6–1 win over Mantex Football Academy in the final match played on Sunday at Maiduguri Road Primary School, Kaduna.
SolaceBase reports that Kaduna Academy, representing German club Augsburg, displayed exceptional teamwork and attacking flair to overpower Mantex, who featured as Hoffenheim, in a thrilling encounter that drew enthusiastic support from fans and grassroots football lovers.
The 2025 edition of the youth tournament featured 18 teams, each representing a Bundesliga side, with the aim of promoting grassroots football while strengthening the German league’s brand presence among young fans in Northern Nigeria.

Speaking after the match, tournament organizer and CEO of Amma White Multimedia Company, Mohammed Mohammed, urged the leadership of DFL and Bundesliga International GmbH to increase their investment in grassroots initiatives of this kind.

He noted that the Bundesliga was steadily gaining popularity in Northern Nigeria thanks to such youth-focused programs.
“This competition is not just about football; it is about connecting with millions of Hausa-speaking fans, inspiring young talents, and deepening the Bundesliga’s influence across the region,” he said.
The Under-13 Bundesliga Cup Kaduna is part of a wider series of Bundesliga promotional activities in Northern Nigeria, which include giveaways, viewing center activations, broadcast programs, and social media campaigns.

Organizers say the initiatives aim to make the Bundesliga the most loved league in the region, where Hausa is spoken by more than 90 million people.
