Kano-ACReSAL celebrates Gov Yusuf victory at supreme court, promises more developmental projects

Kano State Agro-Climatic Resilient in Semi-Arid Landscape (Kano-ACReSAL) has joined the teaming populace of the state in the celebration of the Supreme Court victory of Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf.

In a statement issued by Kano-ACReSAL Communication Officer, Maryam Abdulqadir, on Sunday, the Project Coordinator, Dr. Dahir Muhammad Hashim at a meeting with staff over the weekend said the Supreme Court verdict has reaffirmed the people’s mandate given to the governor during the gubernatorial election in 2023.

‘’Despite the challenges of the litigations from the election tribunal, appeal court, and the supreme court, it was impressing that Gov. Abba Kabir Yusuf was not distracted which accounts for some of the successes recorded by the administration and the untiring support he accorded ACReSAL in achieving its goals,’’ the statement quoted the Project Coordinator.

‘’Dr. Hashim appealed to Kano residents to support the administration to timely deliver dividends of democracy to the people and attend to major developmental project that will impact positively on the people.’’

‘’Dr. Dahir Muhammad Hashir also disclosed the plan of Kano-ACReSAL on reclaiming degraded land, improving the atmospheric condition of the state by planting 2.5m trees this year to combat the effects of climate change. ‘’

It reads,’’ Kano-ACReSAL will plant 10 million trees across the State in four years, 2.5milllion seedlings to be planted every year.’’

‘’Recalling that ACReSAL has made a commitment to reclaim 1 million hectares of degraded land out of the 4 million hectares targeted by the Federal Government to be recovered by the year 2030.’’
