Kano anti-corruption commission gets acting chairman
The Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission (PCACC) has announced the appointment of Barr. Zaharaddeen H. Kofar Mata, as its Acting Executive Chairman.
The appointment, which takes immediate effect, was disclosed in an internal circular issued on Monday and signed by the Commission’s Chief Security Officer, L. Dauda, on behalf of the Executive Chairman.
According to the circular, the decision is in line with the Commission’s commitment to ensuring continuity in leadership and effective service delivery.
The appointment is pending further directives from the Governor of Kano State.
SolaceBase reports that the appointment is coming after the expiration of the tenure of the immediate past chairman, Barr. Muhuyi Magaji Rimigado.

The Commission called on all directors, heads of units, and staff members to extend full cooperation and support to the Acting Chairman in carrying out his responsibilities.
Zaharaddeen Kofar Mata is expected to oversee the Commission’s mandate of promoting transparency, handling public complaints, and fighting corruption across the state.
The circular reaffirmed the Commission’s appreciation of the dedication and professionalism of its staff in fulfilling its mission.
