Kano APC Rep candidate goes underground to evade arrest over alleged N13m fraud

A House of Representatives Candidate for the All Progressives Congress in Rano, Kibiya, Bunkure Federal Constituency, in Kano, Dr Aliyi Musa Aliyu has gone underground over an alleged over 13 million naira fraud.

SOLACEBASE reports that Aliyu, a former Director General of the Kano State Hisbah Board was reported to Dala Police Area Command by one Rabiu Saidu.

A source told this paper that his accomplice Ghali Ibrahim has been arrested by the police.

In the complaint sheet by the victim, Rabiu Saidu, at the police station, Aliyu together with Dr Ghali Ibrahim collected the sum of 13 million naira from him to run a business for over 5 months, since then, he neither pick his call nor speak to him on returning the money after several calls and messages he sent to his mobile phones.

Our correspondent tried calling Dr. Aliyu’s phone numbers since last Saturday till Monday night but the phone lines were switched off.

Also all efforts to arrest Dr Aliyu by the police proved abortive as he is on the run for over a week

However, a source confirmed to SOLACEBASE on Monday that the Dala Police Area Command will transfer the case to the Criminal Investigation Department on Tuesday.
