Kano Commissioner renovates school to mark appointment

The newly appointed Commissioner of the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change in Kano State, Dr. Dahiru Muhammad Hashim, has celebrated his appointment with the inauguration of a renovated Government Junior Secondary School, Upper Basic in Gobarawa community, Dala Local Government Area of the state.

Speaking on Monday during the reopening of the school, which now boasts of six renovated classrooms and three offices, Dr Hashim, represented by Aminu Gidado, explained that the renovation was a way of giving back to the community.

“As an old student of this school, I renovated it as a token of gratitude for the education I received here,” he said. “This is my community, where I grew up, and the school was in a deplorable state. Students were sitting on the floor, and the offices and staff rooms were in poor condition.”
