Kano gets new NSCDC commandant

A new Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps(NSCDC), Kano State Command, Mr Shafi’u Abdulmumini, has assumed duty.

This is contained in a statement issued in Kano on Friday, by the Command’s Spokesman, SC Ibrahim Idris-Abdullahi.

The statement said the new commandant replaced Mohammed Lawal-Falala, who has been transferred.

It stated that Abdulmumini is an indigene of Dayi in Malumfashi Local Government Area of Katsina State.

While handing over, the outgoing state commandant thanked God for a successful tenure, urging officers and men to give the new leadership maximum cooperation in order to move the command forward.

Responding, the new commandant solicited the support and cooperation of the command’s management and personnel to achieve greater success.

He pledged to pursue policies aimed at protecting critical national assets and infrastructure, as well as securing the lives and property of residents. (NAN)
