Kano North best Senatorial zone in roads Infrastructure – Barau

The Senator representing Kano North, Barau Jibrin (APC),has said that the zone is the best Senatorial constituency in the country in terms of roads infrastructure.

Senator Jibrin stated this in Shanono while addressing a large crowd of APC supporters and other residents of Shanono and Bagwai local government areas of Kano State, on Tuesday.

He listed the roads as Shanono-Dumbulum, Bagwai-Dangada,the road that starts from the border with Bichi to Badau, among several others, adding that construction of Daddauda road, as well as another one from Faruruwa- Dumbulum-Tsanyawa, would also commence, soon.

The lawmaker also disclosed that a big hospital is being constructed at Bagwai which would be well-equipped and affiliated to the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital (AKTH) as part of his programs to improve healthcare in the area.

He said when completed, the hospital would be providing medical care for patients in the zone as well as those from the neighbouring Katsina State.

The Senator then hinted that the Bagwai dam in the area would be transformed into a Resort with facilities such as eatery, accommodation and sports facilities for people including those from Kano, the state capital, to visit and unwind.

On the two boats he recently provided for the Bagwai dam, Senator Barau Jibrin said that one of them would be deployed for the Resort, while the other would be used for ferrying passengers across the water.

The lawmaker said himself, Dr. Nasiru Gawuna, his running mate ,Hon. Murtala Sule Garo and the APC candidates for the House of Representatives and State Assembly from the Kano North Senatorial zone had planned to transform the area into cities for the progress and development of the people.

Barau, who is also Senate Committee Chairman on Appropriation, said they had already started the initiative with the development of the economy of the zone, provision of infrastructure such as roads, healthcare ,education and agriculture, and urged the people to reciprocate the gesture by voting massively for the APC at all levels in the forthcoming general elections.

Highlights of the rally included the reception for thousands of NNPP and PDP supporters from Shanono and Bagwai local government areas who defected to the APC.

They were received into the APC by the party’s governorship candidate, Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, amid thunderous ovations from the mammoth crowd and background music supplied by Fresh Emir, Fati Niger and other entertainers.
