Kano: Police arrest key suspects over killing of DPO

The Kano State Police Command says it has arrested 41 suspects, including key actors, in connection with the brutal killing of  Rano Divisional Police Officer (DPO), CSP Baba Ali.

This was disclosed in a statement issued on Thursday by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori.

The Command described the incident as a “grave attack on the very fabric of our society” and a direct assault on the sacrifices of police officers who risk their lives to protect communities.

According to the statement, the arrest followed a swift and thorough investigation, noting that the police are working tirelessly to apprehend all individuals involved in the killing, as well as in acts of mischief and arson associated with the incident.
