Kano: Police arrest man who allegedly stabbed mother to death from hideout

The Kano Police Command has arrested one Ibrahim Musa, aged 22 years old, who allegedly stabbed his mother to death at Rimin Kebbe Quarters, Nassarawa LGA, Kano State, on Wednesday evening.

SOLACEBASE had reported that the Kano State Commissioner of Police, Mr Mohammed Usaini, has ordered manhunt for Ibrahim Musa, who allegedly stabbed his biological mother, Hajara Mohammed,  to death.

“On May 3, at about 6 p.m., we received a report that Musa, who lives in Rimin  Kebe Quarters, Kano, stabbed his mother with a sharp knife on different parts of her body and fled the scene.

A statement issued by the command spokesman, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, on Friday said the suspect was arrested  on Thursday at about 2200hrs (10pm) at a criminal hideout in Dawakin Tofa LGA, of the state.

‘’On the 4th May 2023 at about 2200hrs (10pm), Ibrahim Musa, ‘m’, 22 years old was arrested at a criminal hideout in Dawakin Tofa LGA, Kano State after stabbing his 50-year-old biological mother to death at Rimin Kebbe Quarters, Nassarawa LGA, Kano State,’’ the statement said.

According to the statement, the suspect confessed to the crime and also confessed to dealing in illicit drug.

The  statement said, the suspect will be charged to court upon completion of  investigation.
