The commissioner assured that the police, along with other state security agencies, will be providing extensive security at the Emir’s Palace. Emir Muhammad Sanusi II is expected to lead the Jummah prayers at the palace.
According to Gumel, “It is important for the public to disregard the misleading reports and misinformation circulating on social media and to continue their daily activities without any fear of disturbance or intimidation.”
He added, “The police will uphold necessary security measures to ensure that residents can observe their Friday congregational prayers peacefully without endangering their lives or property.”
Gumel also encouraged individuals to report any suspicions regarding the movements of questionable characters to aid in immediate security actions within the state.
