Kano releases N300m tuition fees to Near East Varsity students

Kano State Governor Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has approved the released of Three Hundred Million (N300,000,000) naira as tuition fees for Kano State sponsored students at Near East University, Cyprus.

This was contained in a statement issued by Chief Public Relations Officer, Kano State Ministry of Higher Education, Sanusi Abdullahi Kofar Na’isa, on Friday.

The statement said the development is in continuation of the state government’s strive to enhance youth empowerment through provision of sound and qualitative education.

According to the statement, the commissioner for Higher Education Dr. Mariya Mahmud Bunkure, said  that the payment is in fulfilment of Ganduje’s promised to uplift the socio-economic status of the teaming youth of the State through provision of qualitative and timely education.

‘’The Honorable Commissioner then thanked Governor for making the dream in to reality”, adding that “A Big Kudos to Your Excellency Khadimul-Islam, Indeed your magnanimity is second to none,’’ the statement said.

‘’She then used the opportunity to congratulate both the students and their parents for such an overwhelming gesture, stressing the need to make best use of the acquired knowledge for the betterment of Kano state and Nigeria at large.’’
