2022: Kano residents laud Ganduje for removal of illegal structures

Kundila Housing Estate Residents Phase II and III, Zaria Road in Kano State have expressed gratitude and elation to Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for a quick response to some complaints tabled before him by the dwellers.

In a statement of appreciation that was made available to journalists on Tuesday and signed by 25 residents of the estate, explained that illegal structures were erected in the midst of the estate which blocked rainwater passage and access to passerby. Thus, compelling the management to forward a complaint about the illegal structure.

“Upon writing the letter of complaint, there was a quick intervention of physical and personal visit to the site by the Chairman on Removal of Illegal Structures, Baffa Babba Dan Agundi despite his tight schedules”

According to the residents, “The chairman used his wisdom and good leadership skills to avert events which were likely to cause a breach of peace in the estate” the statement added.

‘’The management therefore, reiterated their gratitude and appreciation to the task force with assurances of holding them in high esteem for the remarkable gesture.’’

‘’The estate management, while wishing the task force sustainable efforts of bailing out predicaments of the less privileged, prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the Governor of Kano State Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and the chairman of the Taskforce, their heart desires till eternity.’’

‘’Recalls that Kano state government appointed Baffa Danagundi as Chairman of the committee over  illegal structure erected in the state.

Danagundi led a team to demolish structures as Filin Tijjaniyya and land belonging to the Kano Emirate.
