Kano students to get NECO results as Ganduje pays over N100m outstanding registration fees
Kano State Government says it has paid N104,362,090.00, for NECO examination fees of the state indigenes.
Solacebase reports that NECO had refused to release the results of more than 70,000 candidates sponsored by the Kano state government, failure of the government to remit the registration fee of the candidates.
A source had told Solacebase that the examination body decided to hold on to the results until the Kano state government settle the registration fee.
The development continued to generate public outcry especially parents who lamented the withholding of the results wards which demoralized the candidates.
However, a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Abba Anwar on Tuesday said the payment was made on Monday 15th March 2021, and has since been acknowledged by the Examination body.
It added that with this payment, students from the state will now get their results released.
