Kano varsity appreciates ACReSAL over institutional support

The Yusuf Maitama Sule University (YUMSUK), Kano has expressed appreciation to the Kano-Agricultural and Climate Resilience Support Activity (Kano-ACReSAL) for supporting its research activities in the field of agriculture and climate change.

The university presented an appreciation letter to the Project Coordinator of Kano-ACReSAL, Dr. Dahiru M Hashim, during a courtesy visit on Wednesday.

The letter, signed by the university Vice Chancellor, Prof. Mukhtar Atiku Kurawa, acknowledged the valuable contributions of Kano-ACReSAL to the university’s academic and research excellence.

A statement issued by Kano-ACReSAL Communication Officer, Maryam Abdulkadir said the citadel of learning also commended the project for its efforts in promoting sustainable agricultural practices and enhancing the resilience of farmers and communities to the effects of climate change.

It said that the visit was part of the ongoing collaboration between YMSU and Kano-ACReSAL, which involves the provision of research grants, training, and technical assistance to the university’s faculty and students.

‘’The Project Coordinator,  Kano-ACReSAL, Dr. Dahiru M Hashim, thanked the university for the recognition and appreciation, ‘’the statement sent to SOLACEBASE said.

“Kano-ACReSAL was committed to working with YUMSUK and other stakeholders to achieve its objectives of improving the livelihoods and food security of the people of Kano State.”

He also expressed his hope that the partnership between the two institutions would continue to grow and yield positive results.

‘’The university delegation was led by Dr. Muhammad Bilyaminu Ado, Dean Faculty of Social and Management Science with other senior officials from the institution. ‘’
