Katsina district head wins outstanding leadership award
The Kanwan Katsina District Head of Ketare, Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara (mni), has been honoured with the Outstanding Monarch Award for 2024.
He was awarded at the prestigious National Evergreen Merit Awards organised by the Publishers of People’s Forum Online and Magazine in Lagos on Wednesday.
The award was presented to the Kanwan Katsina alongside other distinguished individuals and corporate bodies that are weathering the storm and contributing immensely to Nigeria’s economic development at the magazine’s twenty years of unbroken publishing.

The highlight of the event was the convocation of a National Summit with the Theme: “Business Transactions and Rising Costs- The Way Forward” held at the popular Rockview Hotel.

“Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara’s hard work and dedication to duty when he worked as the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Nigeria Customs Service at Apapa and Tincan Island Ports Area Commands in Lagos, have been keenly followed coupled with his achievements since his ascension to the throne as District Head of Ketare in the areas of Educational Development, Health, Agriculture, Road and water supply, Youth and Women Development, ICT, and Security, all which have impacted positively on the lives of his subjects, hence the reason for the award as the most outstanding Monarch in 2024,” the organisers said.

In his reaction, the Media Aide to the monarch and Sarkin in a statement said, the Kanwan Katsina expressed his gratitude to the publishers of the Magazine for recognising his role toward the development of his community and humanity.
While thanking the Publishers of the Magazine for identifying with him on this great occasion, Alhaji Kankara promised to do more to better the lives of the people of Ketare District, Kankara Local Government, Katsina State and the Country in general.
Dignitaries from all walks of life from within and outside the shores of the country graced the occasion under the Chairmanship of Prince Olayiwola Shittu, former National President of the Association of Nigeria Licenced Customs Agents (ANLCA) and Chairman, Skelas Group.
