The Katsina State Government has queried Katsina State Emirate Council over the absence of some District Heads at the 2024 Idel-Kabir Hawan Sallah celebration.

In a letter signed by Director of Administration and Supply Government House, the Governor’s Office Saki Rabiu Jibia, directed the Emirate Council to provide reasons for the non-participation of some district heads in the celebration.

The letter, dated June 27, 2024, referenced a previous letter from the Emirate Council dated June 7, 2024, and requested a prompt response.

This is coming days after attention was shifted a bit from Kano Emirate tussle to the Sultane where the governor is said to have forwarded a bill to reduce the power of the Sultan.
