KHAIRUN awards merit-based scholarship to outstanding nursing student
In a significant move to reward academic excellence and inspire hard work among its student body, Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University, Kano (KHAIRUN), has awarded a full one-year merit-based scholarship to Yau Fatima Mukhtar, a student in the Department of Nursing Science, for the 2024/2025 academic session.
This was contained in a statement signed on Tuesday by the acting director of the Corporate Affairs and Marketing Directorate, Bilal Dahiru Tijjani.
SolaceBase reports that the scholarship, approved by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Abdulrashid Garba, follows Fatima’s remarkable academic performance during the 2023/2024 session, in which she achieved the highest academic distinction in her department.

Expressing gratitude on behalf of his daughter, the father of the awardee commended KHAIRUN for the generous gesture, describing it as a powerful motivation for continued academic excellence and a demonstration of the university’s commitment to student success.

The comprehensive scholarship covers tuition, accommodation, medical and health services, library and laboratory fees, as well as extracurricular activities for the entire session.
