The management of Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University, Kano (KHAIRUN), has reaffirmed its commitment to academic collaboration and mentorship with Bayero University Kano (BUK).
This was disclosed by Bilal Dahiru Tijjani, Head of Corporate Affairs and Marketing at Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University, Kano, in a statement on Thursday.
SolaceBase reports that during a courtesy visit to BUK, KHAIRUN’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Abdulrashid Garba, expressed deep appreciation for BUK’s continued support.
“BUK has been a guiding institution for us since our establishment. We are grateful to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Sagir Adamu Abbas, and his team for their unwavering support.
“We seek further mentorship to ensure our sustained growth,” he said.
In response, Prof. Abbas commended KHAIRUN’s rapid progress, attributing its success to the dedication and financial commitment of its proprietors.

“KHAIRUN has achieved remarkable milestones in just two years. Its leadership, particularly under Prof. Garba, is outstanding, and we will continue to offer support, especially in research collaboration,” he stated.
KHAIRUN’s Registrar, Mal. Yusuf Datti, also extended appreciation to BUK’s management.
“The mentorship and guidance from BUK have been instrumental in our achievements. We look forward to strengthening this partnership,” he said.
The visit highlights the strong institutional ties between the two universities, fostering academic excellence and development.
