KHAIRUN hosts first monthly lecture series in honour of late founder, Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu

The International Institute of Qur’anic Science (IIQS) at Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University, Kano (KHAIRUN) held the inaugural edition of its Monthly Lecture Series on Saturday.

This was disclosed in a statement released on Sunday by Acting Director of the Corporate Affairs and Marketing Directorate, Bilal Dahiru Tijjani.

SolaceBase reports that the event was organised to commemorate the 7th anniversary of the passing of the university’s esteemed founder, Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu (Rahimahullahu Ta’ala).

With the theme “Exploring the Miraculous Nature of the Qur’an: Definition, Objectives, and Types,” the event featured a keynote lecture delivered by Prof. Saleh Ahmad Abulfathi of the Department of Arabic Studies, University of Maiduguri.

The session also included rich scholarly insights and discussions led by Prof. Sani Musa Ayagi and Dr. Warshu Tijjani Rabiu.

Speaking at the event, the Vice Chancellor of KHAIRUN, Prof. Abdulrashid Garba, reaffirmed the institution’s dedication to preserving the enduring legacy of Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu.

He stressed that the university remains committed to integrating Qur’anic education, moral instruction, and entrepreneurship into its academic framework, alongside science-based programs.

The Monthly Lecture Series is set to continue as a regular platform for advancing knowledge, moral values, and the spiritual development of students and the wider community.
