College Graduation: KHAIRUN varsity awards scholarship to best performing student
Kalifah Isyaku Rabiu University (KHAIRUN) has awarded a scholarship to the best graduating student of Khalifa Sheikh Ishaq Rabiu College.
The university’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Abdurashid Garba, announced this during the college’s speech and prize-given day ceremony held on Saturday, in Kano
Prof. Garba, represented by the chief librarian of the University, Malam Naziru Muhammad, stated that the university will continue to award scholarships to best-performing students each year.
He added that the scholarship, funded by the Abdul Samad Rabiu Africa Initiative, will enable the recipient to pursue any course of their choice.
The Vice-Chancellor urged the graduating students to make the best use of their education and to serve as positive ambassadors of the school.

On his part, the school’s coordinator, Malam Rabiu Shamma revealed that over 200 students graduated from secondary school, while over 60 graduated from primary school.
Shamma expressed gratitude to Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University and the Abdul Samad Rabiu Africa Initiative for the scholarship award.
Professor Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, represented by Dr Abdullahi Sufi, encouraged the students to become good ambassadors of the school and to acquire practical skills to support themselves.
Also, the college honoured KHAIRUN Vice-Chancellor with the Award of Excellence for his exemplary leadership.
