KHAIRUN varsity reaffirms commitment to affordable, qualitative education, moral values as it receives new, returning students
Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University (KHAIRUN) on Monday welcomed its fresh and returning students for the 2024/2025 academic session at a ceremony held at the university Campus in Kano.
SolaceBase reports that the event, underscoring the university’s unique offerings, highlighted its commitment to affordable education and entrepreneurial excellence.
In a statement signed by Bilal Dahiru Tijjani, Head of Corporate Affairs and Marketing, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Abdulrashid Garba described KHAIRUN as one of Nigeria’s most affordable private universities, with qualitative education.
Garba noted that the late Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu’s vision of accessible education lives on through the institution’s half-a-million-naira tuition waiver.

“Our focus is not just academic excellence but also nurturing entrepreneurs. At KHAIRUN, we aim to mould students into employers rather than employees,” Prof. Garba remarked.
He encouraged students to maintain discipline, dedication, and a focus on their educational goals.
The Vice-Chancellor also emphasized the integration of moral education and Islamic values into KHAIRUN’s curriculum, stressing the importance of Qur’anic recitation and memorization in shaping well-rounded individuals.
“True education is incomplete without strong moral foundations,” he added.

The event concluded with a call to action for students to seize the opportunities provided by KHAIRUN’s values-driven approach to learning, inspiring them to achieve both personal and professional success.
