KHAIRUN VC urges NANS to remain committed to national development

The Vice-Chancellor of Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University, Kano (KHAIRUN), Prof. Abdulrasheed Garba, has urged the leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) to remain focused, responsible, and committed to the nation’s development.
He gave the advice during a courtesy visit from the association on Tuesday to the university.
A statement issued by KHAIRUN Acting Director, Corporate Affairs and Marketing, Bilal Dahiru Tijjani, on Wednesday said the Vice Chancellor challenged them to always see view the country from the position of what they can contribute to Nigeria as patriots.

SolaceBase reports that the Vice-Chancellor was also presented with a Certificate of Excellence by the association.
Presenting the certificate, NANS Vice-President, Comrade Ahmad Abubakar Mallawa, praised the Vice-Chancellor’s exemplary leadership.
He noted that the award was not only in recognition of Prof. Garba’s exceptional record of service but also his contributions to the development of education in the country.

He further explained that the visit was aimed at strengthening the association’s collaboration with KHAIRUN and commended the students of the institution, describing them as some of the most disciplined in the country.
Receiving the certificate, Prof. Abdulrasheed Garba expressed appreciation to the NANS leadership for the honour and briefed the delegation on the university’s vision, values, and progress so far.
