Kwankwaso travels abroad, after show of strength in Kano

The Supreme leader of the Kwankwasiyya movement, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has departed Nigeria after two major engagements on Thursday.

Kwankwaso departed Kano shortly after visiting Singer Market in the metropolis to sympathise with the traders overthe  Tuesday fire outbreak, where multi-million-naira investment went down the drain.

The crowd of supporters that besieged the convoy of the former Kano State Governor and presidential candidate of the NNPP in the  2023 general election was seen by many as a show of strength on the streets.

Although there are speculations that the trip abroad was to seek medical attention

However, speaking to SolaceBase on Thursday, Spokesperson for the Kwankwasiyya Movement, Capt. Mansur Kurugu, who confirmed that Kwankwaso has travelled abroad, denied the rumour of a health trip.

Kurugu said the leader of the movement was in no way facing any health challenges.

When probed further on where Kwankwaso has travelled to, Kurugu said he’s not in the know of where he has travelled to since it is a personal trip.

He ascribed the rumour to those who intend to divert attention from the mammoth support and political relevance of Engr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso at this point in time.

‘’Yes, it is true that Engr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has travelled out of the country, but it is a personal trip and not on medical tourism, ‘’Kurugu told SolaceBase.

‘’We were together with him throughout yesterday and this morning when he received supporters from the Dawakin Kudu local government who paid him a solidarity visit, and from where he proceeded to the Singer Market.

They’re jittery with the organic crowd from the two major engagements of Rabiu Kwankwaso today, that’s the visit from Dawakin Kudu supporters and how he was received at the Singer market.

‘’It will surprise you to see the crowd from Dawakin Kudu local government alone was more than the people that welcomed Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to the All Progressive Congress put together last week.

This scenario is playing out amid political differences between Gov Abba Kabir Yusuf and his political godfather, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, over his defection to the APC.
