Kwara: Remains of Grand Khalifah of Tijaniyyah movement, Sheikh Abubakar Agbade laid to rest

The remains of the Grand Khalifah of the Tijaniyyah Movement in Kwara State, Sheikh Abubakar Yusuf Agbade, was laid to rest on Thursday.

SolaceBase reports that Sheikh Abubakar Yusuf Agbade died on Wednesday at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital due to ill health.

The funeral prayer held at Madina Abayawo, Gaa Osibi, Ilorin, was led by Chief Imam of Ilorin, Sheikh Imam Bashir Bn Soliu.

The prayer session was attended by Sheikh Ahmad Tijani, son of Sheikh Tohir Bauchi was present, Khalifa Sharafadeen Ajara, Khalifa Baban Pakata, former perm sec Saliu Sebutu, and Khalifa Sheikh Abubakar Akeyede.

Meanwhile, in a condolence message by the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, expressed sadness over the demise of Sheikh Abubakar Yusuf Agbade.

Alhaji Sulu-Gambari, in a condolence message issued by his Press Secretary, Dr Abdulazeez Arowona, described the incident as a colossal loss to the entire Muslim Ummah and humanity in general.

He added that the deceased was a strong and unifying factor in the Ilorin Emirate and beyond through his exceptional leadership and network within the Tijaniyyah Movement globally, with unwavering dedication to the unity of the entire human race.

The Emir, therefore, prayed that Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings, accept his good deeds and admit him into Al-janatul firdaos.
