La Liga: Uche scores debut goal for Getafe in 1-1 draw against Bilbao
Nigerian Chrisantus Uche marked his debut for Getafe by scoring the goal that earned them a 1-1 draw against Athletic Bilbao on Thursday.
It was their first game of the new LaLiga season.
Oihan Sancet gave Bilbao the lead in the 27th minute before Uche made it 1-1 on 64 minutes.

The Super Eagles star headed home from a corner kick in the 64th minute to cancel out Sancet goal.

Uche joined Getafe from Spanish third division club Ceuta in June, 2024, after signing a four-year deal.
Born in Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria. Uche becomes the ‘third Uche’ to play in the league, following in the footsteps of legendary Uche brothers – Ikechukwu and Kalu, who played for the Super Eagles.
