Mata Media launches Nigeria’s first Hausa-language women-focused platform

The Mata Media, a new digital-based media organization dedicated to promoting women’s voices and perspectives, has announced its official launch in Nigeria.

The organization positions itself as the first Hausa-language women-centric media platform in the country.

This was contained in a statement signed on Monday by the Managing Director of the organization, Fauziyya Kabir Tukur.

According to the statement, the initiative was founded by a team of experienced women journalists to strengthen women-focused storytelling, promote empowerment, and challenge stereotypes through quality reporting.

“Our goal is to create a space for women to share their experiences and ideas, and to inspire a new generation of women leaders,” Tukur said.
