MATA trains women ahead of 2025 annual conference

By Nafisat Musa

The MATA Network, a non-governmental organization committed to empowering girls and women in Nigeria, held a business masterclass in Kano designed to empower women and help them build clarity, confidence and capability in their various businesses.

As part of its pre-annual conference activities, the session on Saturday brought together both emerging and established women entrepreneurs for practical, hands-on training on brand building, audience growth, and the use of artificial intelligence in modern business.

Participants were also introduced to strategies for improving visibility, strengthening partnerships and expanding their reach in a competitive environment.

Speaking during the event, the co-founder, Mrs Yasmin Obadaki, said the organisation aims to offer more than gatherings by equipping women with tools needed for meaningful transformation.

The facilitators also emphasised the importance of clarity of vision, strategic collaboration and digital literacy as essential factors for long-term growth.

The masterclass, one of MATA’s pre-conference activities, builds anticipation for the annual conference and is targeted at offering practical solutions, connections and knowledge needed to support women-led businesses.
