MTN gives reasons for network outage, apologizes to subscribers

MTN telecommunications network is down as subscribers of the telecommunication service find it impossible to make or receive calls while others are not able to make use of their internet through the network.

This is a result of its network challenge.

MTN, while responding to this on Wednesday night revealed the cause of the network problem as a “major service outage caused by multiple fibre cuts, affecting voice and data services.”

The telecommunication service added that its engineers are working hard to resolve with services gradually being restored in some areas.

“We apologize for the inconvenience and ask for your patience and understanding as the team works to restore full service as soon as possible,” the network provider stated.
