The Muslim Lawyers Association of Nigeria (MULAN) has urged Nigerians to reflect on the nation’s journey and collectively work towards unity and sustainable development as the country celebrates its 65th anniversary of independence.

This call was made by Barrister Saidu Muhammad Tudunwada, the National President of MULAN, who disclosed this in a statement he personally signed on Wednesday.

He emphasized the importance of patriotism, social cohesion, and adherence to the rule of law in building a stronger and more prosperous Nigeria.

In the statement, Barrister Tudunwada commended Nigerians for their resilience and contributions to national growth over the years.

He also called on citizens, particularly the youth and professionals, to actively engage in initiatives that foster peace, justice, and national development.

“Independence is not merely a celebration of our past; it is a reminder of our collective responsibility to ensure that the ideals of freedom, equity, and progress are upheld in every sphere of our national life,” he stated.

The MULAN president further highlighted the role of legal practitioners and civic leaders in promoting good governance, accountability, and respect for human rights.

He prayed for continued unity, peace, and prosperity for Nigeria while urging all citizens to contribute positively to the nation’s development.
