Murtala Garo felicitates Muslims on Eid Maulud 1446
A former All Progressives Congress (APC) deputy governorship candidate in the 2023 general elections in Kano State, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo has joined Muslims faithful in Nigeria to mark the 1446 Eid-el-Maulud.
Rabi Ul Awwal is the month in which Prophet Muhammad (Peace and blessing of Allah be upon him) was born and it’s celebrated by Muslims across the globe.
Garo in a statement on Sunday urged Muslims to use the occasion to reflect on the virtues of Islam as exemplified by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace and blessing of Allah be upon him), including showing love to neighbour, patience, honesty, empathy, kindness and generosity, etc.
The Galadima Garo sympathized with Nigerians over the high cost of living in the country.

He said the primary responsibility of every government is the protection of life and property, urging leaders at all levels to come up with urgent interventions to ease the suffering in their states and the country at large.
Murtal Sule Garo said, “Economic policies that will ensure material well-being of the poor, vulnerable as well as working people should be the priority of every government.
“Governments must create a favourable economic atmosphere for businesses to thrive. Job creation and employment opportunities for our teeming youth are necessary.
“The issue of Almajiri is critical and intervention that will better their lives and lift them off the street is vital at this moment.
“I urge Muslims to use Maulud gatherings to intensify prayers for stability and economic well-being.”
Similarly, Garo sympathized with the Maiduguri flood victims and others across the country praying to God to provide them succour.
