Nadabo backs Namadi’s second-term bid, vows to mobilise support for APC

Retired Assistant Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Alhaji Kabiru Yusuf Nadabo, has declared his firm support for the administration of Jigawa State Governor, Umar Namadi, and pledged to work toward the victory of the All Progressives Congress in the 2027 general elections.

Nadabo said his involvement in partisan politics is guided by a commitment to good governance, stability and sustainable development in Jigawa State, rather than any personal ambition.

He described Governor Namadi’s leadership as purposeful and people-centred, noting that the policies of the administration reflect values he upheld throughout his years in public service.

According to him, the APC remains the most credible platform for consolidating development gains in the state, adding that he is prepared to deploy his experience and network to ensure the party’s success in 2027.

He stressed that he has no intention of contesting for any elective office, explaining that his focus is on strengthening party structures, mobilising grassroots support and offering strategic guidance where necessary.

Nadabo also called for unity within the ruling party, urging members to set aside personal interests and work collectively for the progress of Jigawa State.

He reiterated his readiness to support initiatives that promote youth empowerment, infrastructural development and effective service delivery across the state, with particular attention to Taura Local Government Area.

His decision to actively participate in politics has been welcomed by party supporters, many of whom see his discipline, credibility and long-standing administrative experience as key assets to both the APC and Governor Namadi’s re-election effort.

Born and raised in Taura Local Government Area, Assistant Corps Marshal Kabiru Yusuf Nadabo (rtd) is a seasoned public servant and safety professional who spent over three decades in the Federal Road Safety Corps.

He joined the corps in 1992 and built a distinguished 35-year career in road safety management and public administration, earning recognition for his integrity and leadership.

During his service, he held several strategic positions across the country, including serving as Sector Commander in states such as Sokoto and Kaduna.

His tenure in these states was marked by reforms that enhanced road safety awareness, driver education, emergency response and inter-agency collaboration, alongside strong engagement with transport unions, traditional institutions and community leaders.

Nadabo retired honourably from the FRSC in February 2024 but has remained active in community development, youth mentorship and road safety advocacy.

Now an active member of the APC, he continues to support Governor Namadi’s administration through advisory input, mentorship and grassroots mobilisation.

Even in retirement, Nadabo remains committed to public service, a legacy rooted in discipline, humility and patriotism, qualities that continue to shape his contributions to Jigawa State and his support for the APC’s future in the state.
