The National Assembly Service Commission has confirmed the appointment of Magaji Tambuwal as the clerk to the National Assembly.
A statement issued on Wednesday and signed by the Director of Public Affairs of the commission, Mrs. Janet Mambula, confirmed the appointment, noting that the confirmation takes immediate effect.
According to the statement, Tambuwal’s appointment was said to have been approved at the 573rd Meeting of the Commission held on Wednesday 29th March 2023.
The commission also confirmed Ogunlana Kamoru Esq. as the deputy clerk to the National Assembly.
It read in part, “The National Assembly Service Commission has confirmed the appointment of Magaji Tambuwal as the Clerk to the National Assembly.

“His confirmation was approved at the 573rd meeting of the commission held on Wednesday 29th March 2023.”
Recalls that the commission had appointed both Tambuwal and Kamoru as Acting CNA and Acting DCNA respectively on 18th November 2022.
The appointment of the duo followed the retirement of Mr. Amos Ojo as the clerk of the National Assembly and Mr. Bala Yabani, the Deputy Clerk.
Prior to his appointment as the clerk to the National Assembly, Tambuwal was the secretary of the Directorate of Finance and Accounts in the National Assembly Service Commission.
