NBA appeals to Gov Yusuf for allotment of property for Ungogo branch permanent secretariat

The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Ungogo Branch of Kano State, has appealed to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for the allocation of property for the establishment of a permanent secretariat for the branch.

The Chairman of the branch, Barrister Ahmad Abubakar Gwadabe, made the appeal known at a congress meeting of the branch held on Monday.

This was contained in a statement issued by the Association Publicity Secretary, Ahmad Kamilu Paki, on Tuesday.

The statement said the appeal became pertinent as this would ease the operations of the association and its development.

PROMISES-DELIVERED

The statement said the new executives of the association at the congress unveiled its road map towards moving the body forward.

In the statement, Barrister Gwadabe expressed gratitude to Ibrahim Babale Esq., who generously allowed the branch to use the conference hall at Babale Suites without charge, as the branch currently lacks its own secretariat.

The Chairman also acknowledged and commended the significant contributions of Abdullateef Abubakar Jos, a developmental journalist and Publisher of SolaceBase Newspaper, for his continued support to the branch.

The statement read in part, “On behalf of the Nigerian Bar Association, Ungogo Branch, I extend our heartfelt thanks to Mr. Abdullatif Abubakar Jos, a developemntal journalist and the owner of SolaceBase Newspaper, for his immense support, including providing free pages and slots for the publication of the branch’s activities at 4C Murtala Muhammed Way, Kano.

“We also express our deep gratitude to Alhaji Ibrahim Babale Esq., a distinguished member of our branch and the owner of Babale Suites, located at No. 8 Dabo Muhammad Close, Off New Race Course, Nasarawa GRA, Kano, for his generous provision of the suite’s conference hall for our use.”

Furthermore, the branch congratulated Barr. Adamu Abubakar on his recent achievement of attaining the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), the highest professional rank in the legal profession.
