New GEEP boss visits education minister, NDE to boost collaboration

The newly appointed National Programme Manager of the Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme (GEEP), Malam Hamza Ibrahim Baba, has begun his tenure with visits to key government institutions to explore collaborative efforts aimed at supporting vulnerable groups across Nigeria.

SolaceBase reports that the development was disclosed in a statement by the Head of Communication and PR at the National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA), Attari M. Hope, on Tuesday.

According to the statement, Baba visited the Minister of State for Education, Prof. Suwaibe Sa’id, in Abuja to discuss potential partnerships in implementing the Traders Monies initiative under GEEP.

He also visited the Director General of the National Directorate of Employment (NDE), Mr. Silas Agara, to identify areas of collaboration in empowering grassroots women and fostering entrepreneurship.

The statement noted that both the Minister and the Director-General applauded Hamza Baba’s proactive approach and expressed their enthusiasm for the collaborative efforts.

They emphasized that these initiatives reflect Baba’s commitment to advancing the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and uplifting Nigerians within the GEEP target groups.
